New Moon on Solar Eclipse August 1, 2008

Friday August 1st is a portal/gateway of a different sort this time. It’s a time when you can clearly choose how you want things to be in your life from here on out — what to keep forever, what to discard, who to become. All of that. The New Moon Solar Eclipse happens at 3:12 am PDT, but the effects have already begun.

Here’s how the energies are going to help us.

1) We have the opportunity — and the NEED — for clarity. About ourselves first and foremost, and then about who we are in the world and what we are meant to do and be here. (About time, eh?) Use the energy well — for introspection, self-development and personal growth, and to eliminate everything that does not really belong to your new and budding purpose. Nourish what does support and sustain your dreams.

2) Be generous of spirit. Be kind. The energies that you put out there are going to come back to you magnified. Make them special!

3) Inspire yourself and inspire others. Sometimes the going gets rough. Reach out for help. Reach back to others if they ask — but first see to your own needs. This is like the parent putting the oxygen mask on first, so that she can be there for her child. Get your own “oxygen masks” firmly in place before offering ANYTHING to others. Important. Like big-deal important. See to it. Really.

4) Enjoy yourself thoroughly! This is a time of expansion of purpose — individually and in groups, communities, and in our human consciousness. How far can it go? Well. . . how far do you WANT it to go? Together we get to decide.

I’d love to hear how you are experiencing this portal. Post your comments here and let’s compare notes!
